Description: BOCCIA: It is a paralympic sport for those in classifications BC1-BC4. Higher classifications can access the Nationals and Supernational competitions held around England. It's a sport akin to bowling but played with smaller coloured balls 6 red and 6 blue with the white ball called the jack. This the target for every player. Our National Governing Body (NGB) is Boccia England. Bolton Boccia is one of many clubs around the country and one of the newest. This is a voluntary position for a qualified Welfare Officers who will be maintaining the well being of the members along with addressing any concerns to the Club Lead. The Welfare Officer will need to hold a current qualifications to work with adults with disabilities and conversant with the up to date safeguarding measures in place.. The person would also need to have a current DBS check or be prepared to have one done to work with vulnerable adults. This post is needed URGENTLY as the NGB Boccia England require this placement for all Boccia clubs within the UK by the 1st October 2025.
