Description: Read Easy is a national charity that works through local groups. Bolton & District Read Easy has recently started in Bolton to help adults who can't read or struggle to read. We do this through one to one support with a Reader Coach and a Reader. They meet twice a week for half an hour, usually in local libraries. There is a Management Team that does all the background work and the critical role of Coordinator meets all people who want to learn to read, does Reader assessments, matches Readers with Reader Coaches and keeps in touch with Reading Pairs - supporting them and using Management Team resources (eg Literacy Support) as needed. There will be on line training with Read Easy for the new Coordinator, and involvement with other roles needed eg Volunteer Recruiter when recruiting Reader Coaches. The Coordinator will need to travel to libraries (where the reading pairs meet), and meet with Readers. How much time is needed and when is not easy to quantify as it depends on availability of other people and how much is happening.

Requirements: Will require a criminal record check (DBS)
