Description: RNIB is the UK's leading sight loss charity, where we help blind and partially sighted people thrive. Our Helpline service provides information to those affected by sight loss and others on a range of services, products and reading materials, including our digital Talking Books service; a free service that provides blind and partially sighted people with access to over 23,000 titles. Using your excellent communication skills, you’ll make a positive impact and a genuine difference to those seeking help from RNIB. You will be: Answering calls; Giving information; Making internal referrals and sending follow-up emails to callers; Interacting with our customer relationship management system and information sources. We're looking for volunteers who are available on any weekday Monday through to Friday. The role can be carried out from home or from our Peterborough office. Due to the investment through our comprehensive training and support package, we’re ideally seeking a minimum commitment of six months. How you will be supported in your role: Full training on our products and services will be given before you start taking customer calls. Mentoring and support will continue to make sure you settle well into your role. How often will I be needed? 4 Hours per Week Key requirements You must be 18 or over.
