Organisation description: The United Kingdom Islamic Mission (UKIM) is one of the oldest and most established Muslim charitable organisations in the UK, founded in 1962 with the vision of serving society through faith-inspired community work, education, and welfare. UKIM operates through a national network of local branches across the country — each working independently under the national UKIM constitution and governance framework. Every branch designs and delivers its own local activities, engages with its own community partners, and raises funds to sustain local initiatives that respond to community needs. The UKIM Bolton Branch is an active local hub focusing on youth development, family wellbeing, interfaith collaboration, and community empowerment. Our programmes include youth leadership development, sports and mentoring activities, Ramadan and welfare initiatives, and partnership projects with local schools, charities, and civic organisations to strengthen community cohesion and wellbeing in Bolton.
