Bolton Community Emergency Volunteers Registration
Would you be willing to help in an emergency situation in Bolton?
The May 2021 floods experienced in Horwich and Lostock were a devastating event for many families. During the flood many members of the community came forward to help. Since then Bolton CVS has been working with the Public Health and other local organisations to put in place support for people in the community to be ready, prepared and trained to respond to civil emergencies such as floods, fires, terror threats or the on-going pandemic. The kindness and community spirit in Bolton is amazing and we want to help people to make the most of it by training community members to be safe, co-ordinated and effective in an emergency. Please sign up if you would like to find out more about being part of this response.

We know that the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector (VCSE) in Bolton has worked incredibly hard during 2020 to support communities and individuals needing help. A lot has changed since our first survey in April so we are inviting VCSE organisations to feedback again on their current position and any challenges so that we can better understand the pressures on our sector locally.
