Get into Volunteering Workshop

Are you interested in volunteering? Do you have friends and family who are looking into starting their volunteering journey? Come along and learn how to get started!
This session will help you to understand the essentials for successful volunteering practice and how volunteering has changed in the pandemic. Listen to the experience of a couple of volunteers who have dedicatedly been volunteering during the pandemic and what their thoughts are on volunteering. Understand the perspective of a VCSE organisation offering and facilitating volunteering placements/opportunities and have the opportunity to explore next steps in volunteering and how Bolton CVS can support you.
The Mutual Aid Approach

Across the country, people are organising into informal groups of volunteers in response to Covid-19 in order to help people in their local communities. These groups are often called ‘mutual aid groups’. Come and hear from mutual aid groups in Bolton, the fantastic work they have done to support vulnerable people and how visionary members of communities emerged to be a catalyst for the local community.
