On 21 January 2019, the Executive Cabinet Member approved a report seeking approval to consult with trades unions, staff, elected members and key service users about the Council’s Appointeeship facilities.
The report outlines the facilities that the Appointeeship Team offer for service users who either lack capacity, are at risk of financial abuse or are unable to manage their own financial affairs.
Bolton Council are consulting around the following proposed changes:
• Introducing an Appointeeship Charging Policy (Appendix 4)
• Broadening the services offered to better meet service user needs
