Find a Group
The Find a Group on our website offers a more interactive method of searching for groups in your neighbourhood. Using the new concept of Bolton’s neighbourhoods, users are able to click on their selected area to discover what goes on in their community.  This will allow your group to have an opportunity to promote the work and support you offer. You will be able to use it as an excellent point of information to signpost your service users.

Staying Mentally Well in Winter
Building a New Direction (BAND) has produced a guidance on how to stay mentally well in winter.  If you do find that you are experiencing low mood, and if it persists for more than a couple of weeks, seek help.
You can get support from your GP surgery, or from BAND who 
provides 1 to 1 support, drop-in and group support over Christmas, including Christmas Day.  Ring on 01204 380643 or visit their website.

Need help with anxiety and depression? Ring Single Point of Access on 01204 483101 from 9.00am till 9.00pm, including Christmas Day, who will make a referral to the best service to help you.

Christmas Dinner of Jesus with Urban Outreach
Everyone should experience a little joy at Christmas, but for many it can be a sad time. Loneliness, family breakdown, bereavement, or having just too little money to celebrate the occasion are some of the reasons. So with the help and support of many individuals and agencies, this project is able to provide hampers to many who are struggling. The hampers contain everything that an individual or family needs to put on a traditional Christmas spread – right down to mince pies and Christmas crackers!  Read more.  

Free Christmas Meal for the Homeless 
All Souls Community Centre are providing a free Christmas meal for the homeless and those in need on Thursday 19th December 2019, 6.30pm at All Souls Community Centre.  Read more on how to register.

Christmas Time at The Salvation Army 
This Christmas, they will be in local communities ensuring that vulnerable people get the happy Christmas they might otherwise have missed out on.  Find out more.

St Lukes Church Christmas Meal

St Luke’s Church on Chorley Old Road, will be providing Christmas lunch on Wednesday 25th December, for elderly and isolated people.  Contact them for further details by calling 01204 843060.  

Christmas Lunch with BAND (Building a New Direction)
Like the sound of having Christmas Day lunch at BAND?  Join BAND on Tuesday 25th December 2018, 10.00am - 2.00pm, booking is essential call the office number on 01204 380643.  If you need support over the holiday period, call the office to book an appointment.


Free Christmas Lunch held at Trinity Methodist Church, Tonge Fold

Bury Parish Church Hall, The Rock, Bury, BL9 0AH
This starts at 1.30pm, and are happy to pick people up anywhere in Greater Manchester and drop off later in the day. There is a free Christmas lunch, music and games as well as food packages if needed and hats/ scarves/ gloves/ clothes packages.
