Health and Social Care

Welcome to the Health and Social Care

An opportunity for you to help shape the agenda of health and social care in Bolton

The Health and Care Together Team is a Bolton CVS initiative that provides specialist support to voluntary and community sector groups (including self-help groups) working in health and social care in Bolton.

Aim:  To bring together a wide range of groups and organisations that have an interest in the delivery and access to health and social care services.

Having a Voice: We encourage and assist health and social care agencies to consult with voluntary and community groups, through setting up various consultation events and training days.

  • Network with other groups, share information, knowledge, experience and obtain support.
  • Obtain information about the latest developments in the health and social care field.
  • Have a say on consultation documents relating to health and social care.
  • Voice concerns about issues affecting your organisations/groups.
  • Share the knowledge obtained with members.

E-Bulletin: We now produce an monthly Electronic Bulletin to over 200 self help/voluntary groups and health professionals.  We welcome articles from groups/organisations to publish in our E-Bulletin.

Health & Care News supplement: Articles contributed towards the Bolton CVS newsletter JUMBO, four times a year, circulated to over 1,000 contacts.

Self Help Directory: We hold a directory of health and social care related self-help groups and voluntary organisations that are active within Bolton.

Support & Help: We provide information on groups/organisations for people experiencing or affected by conditions or situations.

Health, Care & Wellbeing Forum: Health and Care Together facilitate the Health, Care & Wellbeing Forum which is for all groups/organisations involved in health and social care services in Bolton (service users and providers).  Health, Care and Wellbeing Forum meetings are held bi-monthly.
