Farnworth Suffrage Grants Programme

Bolton CVS is working with Bolton Council to deliver the Farnworth Suffragette Centenary Fund Grants Programme.

The Programme, funded by the Government Equalities Office Centenary Grant Scheme is inviting applications from any voluntary and community group in Bolton for innovative community-led projects which promote involvement in community and local life.

Who we want to fund
Any constituted voluntary and community group, charity or social enterprise based in Bolton delivering services to the community.

What we want to fund
Projects which promote community involvement and make a difference to the lives of people in Farnworth and the surrounding areas, for example:

·         Sports

·         Arts and crafts

·         Music and drama

·         Promotion of health and wellbeing

·         Education and life-long learning

These are just a few examples - if you have other initiatives that celebrate community involvement – we’d love to hear from you.

Celebration Event in Farnworth Park
As part of this programme, a one day celebration event will be taking place on Saturday 5th May 2018 in Farnworth Park.
Community groups are invited to host a stall to promote their work - costs towards your groups’ involvement at this event will also be considered. For more information about the event, please contact: rob.connor@bolton.gov.uk.  

How much can we apply for?
Voluntary and community groups can apply for up to £1000 to pay for project and equipment costs. For example, costs towards buying in a tutor to run classes for your group, volunteer expenses, materials and resources to run activities, venue hire and refreshments costs.
