Bolton Cardiac Support Group |
Bolton Cardiac Support Group (BCSG) meets monthly to offer friendship and support to people who are experiencing or recovering from some form of coronary (heart) cardiovascular illness, such as angina, heart attack, surgery (any) or ischaemic heart disease. Bolton Carers Support is a registered charity that was set up in 1994 and offers a confidential support and information service to carers. We are an independent charity supporting carers over the age of 18 who live in Bolton or who care for someone living in Bolton. We offer information, a confidential listening ear, opportunities to meet other carers for mutual support, training, short breaks, and can ‘signpost’ you to relevant services that can help you in your caring role. We are a a group of volunteers who respond to 999 calls on behalf on the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) NHS Trust. Volunteers are trained by NWAS In basic life support and the use of an AED Defibrillator along with other life saving skills. We also have members of staff who work for the ambulance service who also respond voluntarily to help those in the community. |
