You will learn the principals of co-design and how this process can be used to enhance your project, build social value and develop creative solutions that work in your organisation.
Co-design involves people coming together
Those people have a vested interest in creating something new, which works better
Everyone is equally valued, involved and rewarded at each stage
The outcome benefits everyone involved
As group you will co-design a product, project or service. and learn about valuable assets, the importance of mindsets and how to 'prototype' to develop ideas. We will explore using a person centred approach, commitment to social value and discuss how co-design is embedded within the Bolton Locality Plan.
You will use tools to reflect on how co-design aligns with your work and how you can achieve new and innovative results through a co-design process. The 2hr session will allow you the space and time to absorb the concept and understanding of codesign and take initial steps to implement co-design processes and start experiencing the benefits.
This session is suitable for staff within Health and Social Care sectors and VCSE sectors, volunteers or commercial businesses operating in Bolton, the mix of attendees will enhance the session. We also offer a follow on Training session, 'Co-design, Tools and Methods' which builds on the learning within the Practical Introduction session and will runs in in February, April, June and August 2018.
All attendees will receive the 'Co-design Collection' a resource of activities, templates and examples which you can adapt for use within your organisation.
