Would your organisation help in an emergency in Bolton?

Bolton CVS are running a session for VCSE organisations who would be likely to respond in the case of a local civil emergency (for example a flood or a fire) to bring together the VCSE sector with the people who plan for emergencies to embed a voluntary sector response.

We aim to create a response that means everyone is safe and support is co-ordinated and, using the reach of the VCSE sector, we can engage the most vulnerable people in Bolton in a crisis.

At this session, Bolton Council and Greater Manchester Resilience Unit will work with VCSE organisations to co-produce how the sector can be officially involved in the emergency response processes that are in place. The session will cover the definition of a Civil Emergency, the process that are currently in place and explore how the community, and your organisation, can be part of the response perhaps providing translation services, storage facilities or volunteers to help.

The session will take place at the Bolton Hub (in person) on June 29th from 9:30am - 11:30am.
