Safeguarding children and young people

This interactive course will enable participants to obtain basic knowledge about safeguarding children and young people and share learning and good practice
This course is suitable for anyone with responsiblity for ensuring children and young people's safeguarding in their voluntary group or organisation. It is suitable for those new to the role or those wishing to refresh their skills and knowledge.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify different types of abuse
  • Recall procedures within their organisation when they believe a child or young person has been, or is at risk of being abused.
  • Record information and know how to share it properly
