It is known that trusted voices in the community can help ensure messages, whether health related or otherwise are often better accepted and responded to than simply relying on the availability of national guidance. Public Health, now see a very real need for people who live, work and play in our communities to help in the local and national response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
There may be some confusion and lethargy about what is the current guidance and Public Health would like to ask the strong voices in communities to help tem in clarifying this and advising where to get the most up to date information.
People who help ensure simple but effective prevention messages are delivered and understood in our communities and settings in which they work, live or play. Public Health firmly believe this will help to reduce confusion about what people should be doing to protect themselves and others and should contribute to reducing the transmission of the Covid-19 virus.
Bolton Council’s Public Health Team will be running online training sessions, the first of which will be Tuesday 27th October 2020, 2.00pm.
This is not a formal training course and there is no requirement to reach a specific amount of people but is simply an opportunity for you to be informed on what key information you can pass on to people as you go about your normal day, at work or otherwise, that will help to reduce their personal risk of exposure or passing on the virus to others.
