Do you want to learn more about volunteering and the opportunities available in Bolton? Are you confused about where to begin and the first steps to take? Contact our team of friendly staff & volunteers at Bolton's Volunteer Centre and allow us to introduce you to volunteering. Since April this year we have handled and referred over over 800 volunteer enquiries - providing advice, support, signposting and 1-2-1 meetings.

What is the Volunteer Centre?

The Volunteer Centre supports and promotes volunteering across the borough of Bolton and work with individuals who wish to volunteer. We work with individuals who wish to volunteer and with groups and organisations that use volunteers. Our service is aimed at supporting the Public, Private, Voluntary and Community sectors.

We are a member of Volunteering England and have achieved Volunteer England Quality Standards for our six core functions:

1. Developing volunteering opportunities
2. Marketing volunteering
3. Brokerage (i.e. information and referral for voluntary opportunities)
4. Good practice development
5. Strategic development of volunteering
6. Policy response and campaigning

Our opening hours are Monday - Friday from 9.30am - 12.30pm and 1.30pm - 4.30pm. We can provide information about volunteering in Urdu, Gujarati, on audio tape, large print and in Braille.
