O2 gives support to local community
O2’s best performing store in the UK lends its support to The BIG Bolton Fund. The store located on the Middlebrook Retail Park was opened five years ago.
Thomas Griffin, Business Development Manager at the O2 store said, “We are proud to support The BIG Bolton Fund, the O2 store in Middlebrook is one of the most successful throughout the UK and this would not have been possible without the support of the Bolton community, so we are delighted to be able to give something back via the fund. Our staff will be getting involved in fundraising over the next 12 months and we look forward to working in partnership with The BIG Bolton Fund as our chosen charity of choice.”
Karen Minnitt, Chief Executive of Bolton Community & Voluntary Services added, “The support of companies such as O2 is key to the future success of The BIG Bolton Fund so that we can continue to support the community in the future and the Government’s match-funding scheme helps to double any money we receive. Surprisingly, The BIG Bolton Fund has probably impacted on the majority of the people in Bolton but they are unaware of it. Getting businesses on board such as O2 helps us to raise awareness within the community and spread the word. We are looking forward to working in partnership with the Middlebrook store and running some interesting campaigns, so watch this space!”
