Groups in Farnworth, Harper Green and Kearsley - The next deadline to apply to the Coalfields Regeneration Trust for grants of £500 to £5,000 under our Bridging the Gap Programme for the most deprived former coalfield wards in the North West is FRIDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER 2010 for a decision in mid November 2010.

The grant can be for capital or revenue costs or a mixture of the two but the project has to be completed and all grant funding spent by 31st March 2011.

A few examples of projects which could be eligible for funding are shown below:

· We own/have a 2 year lease on our building and want to apply for small renovations/refurbishments that can be completed by 31 March 11.

· We run a youth project/after school club/child care facility/social club/ over 50s group etc and want to purchase some equipment

· We would like to buy in some sessional workers to put on after school/holiday/community activities

· We want to send our volunteers/staff/board/coaches on training
