Community Interpreting Programme
Are you bilingual? Do you want your skills recognised? Could you be an effective Community Interpreter?
Workers' Education Association (WEA) North West Region Community Interpretation Programme aims to provide accreditated training for bilingual speakers, enabling them to improve their skills as a community interpreter.
Courses are delivered in local communities and provide opportunities for anyone who is fluent in English and at least one other language to gain a recognised qualification.
Unit 1: Introduction to Community Interpreting
OCN Level 1 20 Hours tuition, 10 hours home study
Cost: £60 plus £25 accreditation fee

Unit 2: Introduction to Advanced Community Interpreting
OCN Level 2 or 3 50 hours tuition, 24 hours home study
Cost: £165 plus £25 accreditation fee
