Learning and Development

During 2008-2008, Bolton CVS provided 3320 hours of both formal and informal training to 1088 learners.

Throughout the year we have been working towards gaining approved accredited centre status through the Open College North West, which we have been delighted to achieve. This will give learners the opportunity to gain nationally recognised awards on some training courses.

Passport to Success
The Passport to Success training scheme has provided training to 25 voluntary groups over 110 sessions. This is run in conjunction with Bolton Community College.

The Training Programme
Details of the courses offered by Bolton CVS, the Volunteer Centre and the Community Network are published in a Training Programme, which is distributed to over 2,000 contacts every four months. Click The Training Programme to read our January - April 2010 edition.
