Funding Advice

There are several ways in which we can help your organisation work towards securing the funding it needs to run activities.

Funding from Bolton CVS

  • Bolton CVS administer two grants programmes for community groups in Bolton through the BIG Bolton Fund. To see if the grants are suitable for your group click here

Find Funding

  • Have you considered Awards for All funding? This is a great opportunity for small groups planning new projects. Click here for more information.
  • Another good opportunity is the European Social Fund Community Learning Grant which is supporting North West organisations to helps adults to increase their skills. You can find out more here
  • You can stay up to date with other grants that are currently available by checking our latest Funding Bulletins. We also have a Little Book of Funding which contains details of over 40 funders. You can access the book by clicking here
  • You can also access GRANTnet, a straightforward FREE-to-use online service from GRANTfinder. It can help charitable and community groups to find suitable funding. GRANTnet enables groups to identify and select only funding schemes and awards that are appropriate for their project. The information on GRANTnet comprises in excess of 5,000 funding schemes that are available in the UK from European and national sources. Registration is FREE! Better Bids

  • We have a series of information sheets that can help you make the most of your application.

Non-Grant Funding

  • It is becoming more and more important for organisations to diversify their income streams from traditional grant programmes and look for new opportunities to support their ongoing overheads through a 'mixed income' approach. We have a series of information sheets which can help you to fundraise in different ways.
