The organisation Bolton NewsTalk records news on cassettes for blind and disabled people and sends free to registered listeners in their homes. Approximately 300 cassettes are sent out per week. Volunteers are required for recording and editing.

|Bolton Scottish Dance Club||
The club was formed in 1954 to provide a venue for Scottish Country Dancing in Bolton. It provides an opportunity for members to learn new dances as well as enjoy the old ones and to attend weekend dances run by several clubs around Lancashire and Cheshire. It is very much a social class and the emphases is on enjoying the dancing. We hold weekly classes at 8 pm on Monday evenings at Chorley Old road Methodist Church from August to May. The club also runs an annual ball in May each year. The club is open to all; Scottish Country Dancing is very popular around the world and while we have some Scottish members, the majority are English.

|Caribbean Elders' Association||
We are a community organisation and meet every Monday from 10am to 12pm at Halliwell UCAN Centre. We currently have 20 members and the membership fee is £4 per year. Each member pays £1 when they attend. This money is used for providing light lunch/snack. Once a month we provide full lunch at the centre or go out for a meal. In summer we organise a trip out (2014 – York) and at Christmas we organise a Christmas meal for the members. Each Monday our activities include knitting, crochet, cross stitches, embroidery, card making etc.

|Crompton Somali Association||
We are representatives of the local Somali residents in Crompton/Halliwell wards. We organise activities and training for local people as well as social gatherings. We are based at Hibbert Centre and are supported by them. Our activities include trips, young people’s extra tuition, sports activities, helping the elderly, English language and other courses.

|Eden Care Project||
We are a non-for-profit organisation. We aim to better the elderly care services and access to these services for BME groups. We believe and know that there exists an inequality in service provision for these groups; whether that be due to this group not understanding what is available, to not understanding who/where to seek help etc. Also we aim to (in the future) deliver care services that are designed and delivered with the cultural and social/health needs of the target population in mind; we aim to deliver responsive, adaptive care services ranging from home care/home help to day care and respite services, advocacy services, residential/nursing care provision etc.

The centre provices sport education opportunities for people aged 5 to adult. The centre is open 7 days per week and also delivers girls only sessions (keep fit and non contact boxing). All sessions are £1.00 and are delivered by qualified staff. The centre also has 2 IT classrooms with 15 computer work stations.
