Children and Young People’s Third Sector Forum

As the children arrangements in Bolton are being developed and embedded it is essential that the children and young people’s third sector continues to be fully engaged at all levels. To achieve this “The Children and Young People’s Third Sector Forum” has been established which is recognised as the reference and consultation group for both the Children’s Trust Board and its related groups.

It is welcoming that the Children’s Trust Board and Partners have endorsed and acknowledged the forum, which grows from strength to strength.

2010 Objectives for the Children and Young People's Third Sector Forum

Set up and maintain forum, including AGM and the election of the Chair and Vice-Chair
Create and maintain membership, including representation
Create Social Network site
Load ‘Terms of Reference’ to Social Network site
One Stakeholder Event per year (decided on late April 2010)
Launch forum
Wider engagement and participation
Secure seat on Children’s Trust Board
Secure representative on executive group
Secure representative on scrutiny group
Lobby to influence Joint Commissioning Strategy
Secure resources to sustain forum
Consolidate links with CVS
Influence Local Strategic Plans (L.S.P.)
